Working in different nursing homes daily in the Birmingham area focusing on psychiatric illness in the geriatric population.

My daily schedule is flexible and I am available to precept M-F in the nursing home setting for students interested in psychiatric illnesses in the geriatric population.

Structural Heart & Valve / Interventional Cardiology / UAB Hospital

Structural Heart and Valve service in Birmingham, AL. UAB Hospital. Very busy. High acuity.

Hospitalist group, following up and admitting patients while collaborating with the attending MD; Initial assessment of patients, ordering pertinent diagnostics labs and imagining, completing H&Ps.

This is a great experience for students that need help with interpreting initial data and formulating assessments and plans for the patients as we work quite independently in this setting.

Grandview Medical Center Hospital: working with a hospitalist and see patients that have undergone back, neck and total joint surgeries. Also admit patients with acute problems, such as pyelonephritis, pneumonia, fractures, etc. I work in the hospital at all times.

Round on established patients and see new consults.
