Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Opening for CICU/Congenital Heart Surgery Unit in Dallas, TX!

This is an opportunity to join one of the nation's premiere Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist group in Dallas, TX. Some highlights of this position include:
Provide acute care for CICU, cardiac step-down unit, and general cardiac inpatient floor
Join a team of 6 well-respected intensivists who highly value their Nurse Practitioners
12 hour shifts
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team providing daily management and the plan of care for high acuity pediatric cardiac patients that includes pre surgical, post-surgical, ECMO, and electrophysiology
Participate in providing education both formally and informally to the bedside nurses, nurse practitioners, attending physicians
Maintain competency in advanced skills for radiology interpretation, placement of chest tubes, central lines, PICC lines, arterial lines, intubation and extubation
Maintain competency in advanced skills for removal of chest tubes, abdominal drains, intracardiac lines, and pacer wires

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years as a pediatric nurse practitioner, however, a new graduate with pediatric ICU experience as an RN will be considered. Clean background/malpractice history, and excellent communication skills are a must. PNCB is required.
